Tomorrow is the 100th day of school!!! To celebrate this exciting milestone, we hope to see all YGS students dressed as if they were 100 years old. It is hard to believe that after tomorrow there are only 74 more days of school! The students have grown academically and socially these past 100 days and I am excited to see them continue to grow and prepare for the next school year.

Please remember that should you need to change your child's dismissal procedure to call the main office prior to 3pm. The end of the day is a very busy time in the main office and calling with dismissal changes prior to 3pm ensures we are able to communicate the message to your child in a timely fashion.

A flyer about the upcoming Valentine's celebration came home earlier this week. Please remember, edible treats are not permitted. Non-edible treats such as stickers and pencils are permitted. Please keep this in mind as you help your child choose Valentines to pass out on February 14th.

As a reminder, there is no school this Friday, February 2nd due to Teacher Institute Day. Our staff will be actively engaged in professional development on Friday. We hope you are able to enjoy the day off with your child and relax over the extended weekend.

Have a wonderful week!

No problem! If your child needs to leave early from school, please inform the office by sending a note or calling prior to 3pm.  The office will be sure to inform your child's teacher and the teacher will ensure your child is packed and ready to be dismissed when requested. However, the office will not call your child down, nor will the teacher send your child down to the office, until you have arrived to pick them up. There could be a change in your plans, such as traffic, which may impact your arrival time. We want to make sure we maximize the amount of instruction time your child has. As soon as you arrive for pick up, we will call your child down to be dismissed. Thank you for understanding and please let the office know if you have questions.
