Are You Ready for some FOOTBALL?
The YMCA of Southeastern North Carolina and Impact Church have recently partnered to serve even more kids and families through the Impact Flag Football program!
Impact Church's Flag Football program started in 2015 and has served more than 900 participants.

“We are excited to introduce Impact Flag Football to our athletic program,” explains Lee Spooner, YMCA Athletic Director. “Our Y supports over 5,000 youth athletes in the Cape Fear area. We encourage our participants to try multiple sports and flag football is a new option we are excited to offer families,” says Spooner.

Impact Flag Football League practices and plays in the Burnt Mill Business Park off of Randall Parkway and the Y will be adding practice locations to its existing field spaces. The Impact Flag Football program is an official NFL Flag Football League for kids ages 5 to 14. Practices start this August and registration is currently open.

Employee Spotlight
Join us in welcoming Natasha Moore, new to the area and to the YMCA of Southeastern NC!

Name:  Natasha Moore
Branch: Express Y
Job Title:  Member Services & Engagement Director

How long have you been with the Y?  Since January of 1992 … a long time! (But Natasha is new to the YMCA of Southeastern NC!)

What's your favorite thing about working for the Y ?
Every day this organization has a chance to help one person get one step closer to their goals … be it through providing child care for a parent who wants to get healthier, a social place for a senior to make a friend, a child to learn a skill through sports or swim .. the Y provides that opportunity daily .. for everyone – not many places can say that.

What's your Y story?
I began as a Volunteer in a Special Needs Swim & Gym Program where I eventually became the Coordinator – watching those children socially interact with the volunteers, with each other, have fun … learn to swim .. I’ve had some of the best moments of my life with that program. It’s a perfect example of what a Y can be. Through that program I’ve made life-long friends – I even had participants and their families at my wedding – that program helped me be the person I am today
