There are several ways that we, as the faculty and staff at Master's Academy, can describe what we do: calling, ministry, privilege, honor, challenging, exciting, . . .
As I consider the above, it occurs to me that this also describes parenting.
As parents (and educators), we are all called by the Lord to take on this wonderful privilege and honor, not just to raise children to adulthood, but to equip them to love and serve the Lord.
We don't always know exactly how to do that. At times, we love the challenge and our children are a source of great blessing and holy pride. Occasionally, we find ourselves exasperated with their behavior or heartbroken at their choices, but we are reminded that they are ours to mold for a season and to love for life.
We won't always see the fruit of this work when we want to and, at times, we will question whether we are making a difference at all or if we really matter.
YES! It is working; you are making a difference and you do matter. There is no greater task in life, as parents and educators, than to have a role to play in equipping men and women for the Lord.
Be faithful and trust the Lord for the fruit.
