All Yale Military Community and Friends Welcome to ROTC BBQ

Tom Burke, President of the Yale Student Veterans Association, has extended an invitation to all YPD officers to a BBQ today, September 8th from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. in the Hall of Graduate Studies Courtyard 320 York Street. This BBQ is hosted by the Yale Student Veterans Association, the Yale Veterans Association, and the Yale Veterans Network.  

I know you all face scheduling challenges but do hope you will be able to stop by to connect with our Military Community and good friends of the Military Community at Yale. 


Officer Leopoldo Otero Temporarily Assigned to Investigative Services Unit
Officer "Leo" Otero

Congratulations to YPD Officer Leopoldo Otero who, on September 12th, starts in YPD's Investigative Services Unit on temporary assignment.  Officer Otero will work with detectives investigating burglaries, robberies, larcenies and other major crimes, as well as juvenile matters. He has been with the YPD since 2008 and is part of the SWAT team and Motorcycle and Bicycle Units.  Officer Otero is also a Field Tra ining Officer and POST certified instructor in defensive tactic s. Last year he received recognition from Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) for his DUI enforcement. The Investigative Services Unit looks forward to working with Officer Otero.
