Not-for-Profit Sales and Development Panel

 YPN invites all Members to our next Professional Development Series this Friday, May 11, featuring prominent not-for-profit leaders. The informative panel discussion will focus on the similarities and differences between for-profit and not-for-profit sales and how to overcome the struggles non-for-profit sales presents.
Sales can be difficult enough as it is without the added challenge of a not-for-profit organization. By modifying tactics, understanding the differences between for-profit and not-for-profit sales and utilizing unique skills, young professionals will be able to assist the organizations they are passionate for and help them grow.
The panel discussion takes place from 7:30 - 9 a.m. in the Chamber's Conference Room A, Suite 375 in the Main Street Promenade in downtown Naperville. The event is open to YPN Members and nonmembers.
Joining the panel will be Tom Beertsen, executive vice president of association development for the YMCA of Metropolitan Chicago, Barbara Knuckles, managing director of development and corporate relations for North Central College, and Angela Bender, marketing and communications associate for Naperville CARES.

 Attention all YPN Members, the Small Business of the Year Awards are Friday, May 18 at the Chicago Marriott Naperville and it's an event not to be missed! This is a spectacular event and an opportunity for young professionals to connect with a variety of businesses and Members while gaining valuable insight into what it takes to be nominated as well as win Small Business of the Year. Your time to register for one of the Chamber's largest and most glamorous events is running out! For 15 years the Small Business of the Year Awards has been the premier gala award ceremony for business in the Naperville region. You'll hear from long-time Chamber Members, prominent businesses and Lifetime Achievement Award recipient Tim West from the Naperville Sun. This gala is one of the largest events the Chamber hosts all year, and will be a great opportunity to connect with other Members in a relaxed, celebratory environment.
