YP of the Year - Lindsey Phillips!

Each year, Y PN Muscatine recognizes one member  wh o has proven themselves to be dedicated to the  be tterm ent of Muscatine and the YPN organization.

This year, the leadership group  una nimously selected Lindsey Phillips, current dir ector o f the Big Brothers Big Sisters program.

Lindsey was awarded this title at the Greater Muscatine Chamber of Commerce & Industry's Annual Meeting last week.

We reached out to some of those who work with Lindsey to get a more rounde d picture of  her dedication:

"Lindsey first started at Big Brothers Big Sisters as enrollment and  matching staff, recruitin g, interviewing, training and matching children with adult and high school volunteers. She was generally the first face volunteers, kids and their families saw upon enrolling in the program. She treated everyone with kindness and generosity, making them feel welcome and at ease. Upon transitioning into the role as program director, she continues to exude that same hands-on approach, welcoming Bigs, Littles and their families. Her commitment to the program has never wavered as she upholds the mission of Big Brothers Big Sisters to provide children facing adversity with strong and enduring, professionally supported one-to-one relationships that change their lives for the better, forever." - Jessica H.

The YPN leadership group is extremely grateful for the work that Lindsey does each and ever y day to make sure that our events are well-organized and that our members know what other activities are upcoming. Lindsey is most often the first in line to volunteer herself for any project.

Congratulations Lindsey, you are a great asset to our group!

What is your favorite YPN event?
My favorite YPN event would be the event held at Contrary Brewery each year.

What event would you like to see YPN do?
I think it'd be cool to see YPN do a networking event on the river boat here in town. I think it'd be a unique experience for everyone and a great way to meet new people in the community.
