Happy New Year everyone!!!! I hope you all had a wonderful holiday & a great New Years! I have to say that 2015 was not too shabby & I am excited to see what 2016 has in store.
It is that time of year again...Time to look at all of the lakefront sales data & pass along to you just what happened with lakefront real estate up here in my neck of the woods. Below is my recap of the lakefront market last year.
The total number of lakefront sales were almost double that of 2014 but the median price was down slightly... To compare; 2014 had 13 sales & 2015 ended with 24. Last year the highest priced lakefront sold for $5,200,000 & the lowest sold for $498,500. The median price was $1,807,500 & median price per square foot was $583.00. Another interesting note is for the second year in a row we didn't have any short sales or bank owned lakefronts.
Last year I said that I thought the lakefront sales would improve & they did....Yay!!!! Now with El Nino doing it's best to fill up the lake I am optimistic that this summer will be a busy one for the lakefront market.
Here is a link to all 24 of the lakefronts sold this past year (shown from lowest to highest)... Sold Lakefronts 2014
Take a look below to see a detailed list of all lakefront sales for 2015 as well as my handy dandy graph showing the activity from 2005-2015.
