The holiday season is a natural time for reflection, and I am inspired by memories of this past year, and the families we have impacted through our work -
thanks to the support of our volunteers, donors and shoppers. With your on-going and generous support throughout 2014, we have been able to offer renewed hope and a brighter future to several Berkeley County families.
In 2014, HFHBC took a neighborhood-centric approach in the Wall St. neighborhood of Moncks Corner. We have renewed our commitment to this neighborhood by beginning to work closely with its citizens, having nearly completed the first of three new homes and developing a model for affordable home repairs.
I'm proud of what the HFHBC team was able to accomplish during 2014, but our work is far from done. Too many Berkeley County residents continue to live in sub-standard, overcrowded and cost burdened situations. Sadly, many of these families have given up their dream of home ownership.
It's an exciting time to be involved with HFHBC. This has been a season of tremendous progress but the challenge before us continues; to serve more Berkeley County families. Our mission extends beyond simply building houses. HFHBC invests in families, and we believe that a strong and stable family begins at home. Healthy families contribute to good neighborhoods and to thriving communities.
I pray you will continue to partner with us in this critical work with the support of your prayers, your service and your financial gifts.

2015 Prescreening for Families Needing Habitat Homes scheduled for January 26-30, 2015

- No appointments, please walk-in.
- Applicants must attend this prescreening session to begin the application process.
- $25 application fee due at pre-screening. Check or money order, please.

2014 Day of Caring Album
Painting, putting on siding, and putting up walls were just a few things that United Way Day of Caring volunteers did on November 14th.
Lots of team building and laughter filled the day. You never know what you can do until you try! Check out the pictures that show our caring community volunteers.
2rd Annual Golf Tourney is a Huge Success!
60+ participants gave fund-raising their best shot during Habitat Berkeley's second annual Golf tournament on Friday, November 7th.
The event raised $10,200 all of which will go to sponsoring the build of a new Habitat home.
21 teams, including groups sponsored by: Palmetto Primary Care Physicians, Berkeley Electric Cooperative, Boeing, Driggers Law Firm, CEE-US, Finkel Law Firm LLC, Williams and Hulst, LLC, Hudson Nisson, Carnes Crossroads, and Pit Stop attended. Thank you to all of our sponsors and all of our players!
