Pray for Tomorrow's Inspection
Someone asked me yesterday, "so how many inspections are there?"  It seems I'm asking you to pray for another inspection every week!  Well, tomorrow (Friday at 11 AM) is the final facility inspection.  Monday's inspection went well but they gave us a list of manageable things we need to fix.  By tomorrow those things should all be taken care of and we should be good to go! But, as always, we are dependent on God's grace so ask Him to give us His approval.
In other Sunlight Christian Academy news:
  • We received another great donation to help us in this launch process, Praise God!
  • We hired a great teacher to assist Amanda and we have some good potential helpers as well.
  • Another family stopped by to enroll their child!  Pray for more!
  • Amanda Albuquerque will be in keeping office hours to give tours and make preparations for opening in August.  9 am - 3 pm weekdays.
Name Dropping
Moe is my mechanic.  I think Moe cares about what people think of his name. Here is why I think that. He never over charges me.  If he makes a mistake he fixes it at no cost to me.  There have been many times I come in for a diagnoses and he makes some minor adjustment and doesn't charge me.  There have even been times he has told me, "...its just something simple you can do that yourself, just go to the part's store".  I know it's hard to believe I'm describing a mechanic!  It seems most of the time they tell you to fix things that don't even need fixing and you can't get out of the shop without paying $600!
Moe is a different breed.  He's honest and he cares about helping people more than he cares about his bottom line.  Consequently, I tell EVERYONE about Moe. How did I hear about Moe? You guessed it, somebody told me what a great mechanic he was. If car trouble comes up in a conversation I tell people to go see Moe!  I know Moe will help them.  Moe is my friend not just my mechanic.  Finding people like Moe who care about their good name is rare in our world.
God cares a lot about His good name.  So much so that He included the good use of His name in the Top Ten most important things His people should do and not do. He also included it in the Lord's Prayer: "...hallowed be Your name...". God wants His name to have the respect and reputation that it deserves among His people. This weekend we will take a closer look at what that looks like in our everyday lives.  How do we show the respect and honor to God's name that it deserves? How do we represent God's name to others?  It might involve more than you think. See you Sunday! Pastor Kris
