YIDDISH CLASSES IN DURHAM
VARIOUS LEVELS
Register for Yiddish classes now:

BEGINNER I and II:
Learn to read, write, speak and understand Yiddish.
No reading knowledge of the Hebrew alphabet is necessary.
Time: Tuesday or Wednesday evening.
Cost: 10 sessions for $180.

INTERMEDIATE II:
For students who have studied  3 or 4 semesters. Continuation of grammar study, literature and conversation.
Time: Sunday morning
Cost: 10 sessions for $180.

ADVANCED: For students who have studied approximately 3 years or more.
Time: TBA
Cost: 10 sessions for $180.

Who: All classes are taught by Dr. Sheva Zucker.

Where:
Classes are held at my home in Durham near the NC School of Science and Math.

When: Classes will start after Labor Day or after Rosh Hashanah, depending on the class.
All classes are 1 1/2 hours long.

Sheva Zucker
is the author of two Yiddish textbooks which are widely used in adult and university classes throughout the world. She has taught and lectured on Yiddish and Yiddish literature on five continents. She taught Yiddish and Jewish Literature for a number of years at Duke University and in the Uriel Weinreich Intensive Summer Yiddish Program sponsored by  Bard College and the YIVO Institute for Jewish Research in New York City. She is the editor of the Yiddish periodical Afn Shvel and the executive  director of its publisher, the League for Yiddish.
