Greetings World Cup Parents,
Old McDonald's Farm is at World Cup! The children are being taught all about barnyard animals. Our older groups have been learning about the development of chickens and ducks from the egg stage to their emergence from the protection of the eggshell. The sweet sound of chirps can be heard throughout the hallways. The younger groups were all aflutter as they observed how a caterpillar becomes a butterfly. It was a quiet yet beautiful transition.
May is a bittersweet time of year for our World Cup team since we know the end of the school year is just around the corner. As the teachers begin to collage a memory book for their classes, earlier photos remind them of how much the children have grown physically, emotionally and socially. Like the butterflies they cared for, they know it is time to move on.
This year seems to hit home like no other before. It was only a couple of weeks ago I attended my youngest son's college graduation. As I watched him walk across the stage to receive his diploma, I wept with pride and wonderment. When did my little boy grow into this young man? I know I can speak for all the parents of young adults when I say, "hold onto your little one and enjoy every moment, because the years fly by so quickly and before you know it they're all grown up!"
Thank you for welcoming us into your world and allowing us to be a part of your children's growing years.
