David Finley

Seeking a method of training that would help heal and realign his body, David turned to yoga in 2009. In addition he discovered a method of self expression and an endless path of discovery which included earning his 200-hr RYT from The Yoga Place in Canton, Ohio in 2012.

Other physical training certifications include:

  • The first Russian Kettlebell Certified (RKC) Instructor under Pavel in 2001
  • Certified Natural Trainer under Jon Hinds 2006  
  • Attendee of two Gymnastic Bodies certifications in 2012 and 2013 under Coach Christopher Sommer

His classes focus on building strength, proper alignment and increasing body awareness.

 





Linda Zifer
 I received my 200 hours as a RYT in 2001 at the Sophia Center on the campus of Ursuline College in Beachwood, Ohio while studying for my license to practice massage therapy. I taught yoga in a small space where I also had my massage practice.  After several years of teaching, I wanted to simply be a student again and began learning the practice of Kundalini Yoga, attending workshops across the US. I fell in love with the benefits of the breath work and movement.........pure, radiant energy!! It is my desire as a teacher to open a new vein of opportunity and knowledge for students to explore and expand their practice. 
 
Students can expect a vigorous practice of movement using the breath of fire to feel energized and radiant! 
What I repeat most often are the sage words I learned in training; "Yoga will do for you exactly what you need it to do in the moment you are doing it." For me yoga is a natural, self adjusting prescription for what ails me in the moment I am practicing.  The benefits are accumulative!

It is almost 2014! We wanted to take a moment to say thank you for making our first year so memorable. We have met so many amazing people, watched you grow in your practice, and have cried and laughed with you along the way. We wouldn't be here with out you, and we are so grateful.
Included in this email are upcoming events, introductions to new teachers you will be seeing at YS as well as a reminder to check the schedule before attending class because we have minor tweaks from Winter, including two brand new classes! **Please note in 2014 yoga mat rental will now be $2 per mat. Also we will be getting a new BIGGER furnace in 2014 and will need to cancel one or two classes to allow for adequate time for this to be installed. Please check website before coming to class**

New Year's Day Live Music+Yoga Celebration!

How we begin something often sets the tone for the rest of our experience, so come gather for this all-encompassing (warm) two hour yoga event to kick off the new year (and help recoup from the night before). The class will flow with live music from Akron's award winning musician, Zach (of Zach and the Bright Lights) and will end with homemade tea blends by Kristie. Expect to work AND relax - suitable for basic-goers and beyond.

Zach is a passionate singer/songwriter driven by music, peace and love. His songs remind us of the personal power we have to change ourselves and the world around us. "Captivating, inspirational, hopeful and down-to-earth."
