Packet Pick Up
There are two opportunities to pick up your race bibs and shirts
1. Saturday, May 13  10:30 AM – 4:00 PM 
2. Sunday, May 14 4:45 AM – 5:45 AM

Note: Please bring along ID and complete the emergency contact form for race day.  

Pre-race packet pick up available at the York Branch YMCA, 90 North Newberry St, York, PA 17401.  Parking is available in the YMCA lot located on Clarke Alley adjacent to the YMCA building.  Please enter through the back of the building from the parking lot and visit the Membership Service Desk to receive your race bag and shirt.

LAST CHANCE REGISTRATION will be available during packet pick up on Saturday, May 13 during packet pick up if there are spots remaining.

Timing
The race will be timed by PA runners.com and will use Disposable Chips.  Chip time will serve as the Official Time for final results and awards.  Timing mats will be placed at the start and finish lines.
Official result will be available on PA Runners’ website following the race.  Official time for Boston Marathon Qualification will be the Chip Time.  Visible mile markers will be placed at each mile.

Course Certification – PA16004NP   The race course is measured and certified as a Boston Qualifier.

PLEASE NOTE:  Course is on York City Streets for approximately the first and last mile of the Marathon and Half Marathon.  All runners will access the trail at Grantley Rd from the start and leave the trail at Grantley Rd to return to the finish.

The road portion of the run from Grantley trail access to the finish will be open to traffic.  Please run on the right side of the road as you make your last mile into the city.  This will be the exact same streets you ran on the way to the rail trail.  There will be volunteers at the major intersections.  The race map has one change: the race route begins and ends at the YMCA.  An updated map will be forwarded in the near future.

Necessities
The YMCA will be open at the start area for prerace bathroom usage.  Porta-potties will be located near the start/finish area as well.  Water Stations will located on the rail trail stocked by York Water Company at approximately 2 mile intervals.  There will be volunteer monitors on the trail at the water stations to alert the medical assistance team at the finish line to dispatch EMS services.  Please report all emergencies on the course at water stations. 

Parking
Parking is available at the YMCA lot off Clarke Alley as well as the  Susquehanna Commerce Building, 221 West Philadelphia St, York PA 17401 (located immediately after crossing Codorus Creek Bridge on Philadelphia Street) or along the street.  Please do not park in the 2 hour parking spots at Foundry Plaza Boat Basin area or the apartment spaces.

Amenities
Post race clothing – a Clothing Drop-Off Area is provided inside the YMCA building at 90 N Newberry St.  Runners can place a change of dry/clean clothing in a bag labeled with their race numbers at the drop off area.  Race volunteers will manage the drop-off during the race.  The YMCA will be open for runners to shower and change after the race beginning at 9 am, but will close at 4:30 pm.  Bring your own towel.  

Race Shirts  
Guaranteed to those registered by April 21.  Others provided while supplies last.

Water Stations
Water stations will be located on the course approximately every 2 miles apart for a total of 8 stations.  The first station on the trail will be just after crossing Grantley Rd with last water station on the trail at Seitzville Rd for the Marathon  (Please see the attached list on the info email)  York Water Company is hosting the water stations.  Each water station will also have lemon-lime Gatorade and GU packets.

Porta Potties
There will be a total of 9 portable toilets on the trail for participants to utilize during the marathon a various locations courtesy of Knapers Stop N Go.

Course Closure
Volunteers will be released from their stations based on a 13 minute pace; the finish line will close at 12:00 PM.  We cannot guarantee that you will find water or food after the course is closed.  If you think you cannot complete the course by 12:00 pm, please ask a water station volunteer to arrange for assistance to the finish line.

Awards Ceremony – Trophies and Medals
An Awards Ceremony will take place at the YMCA building post-race beginning at 11 am.  We will try to present awards early so runner can return to their rooms or head home. Age group winners will receive awards based on finish times for their age groups. Race Participant Medals will be awarded at the finish line.

Distribution of Awards
All individual race participants will receive a finisher’s medal at the finish line.  Awards are distributed based on “Overall Open” male and female categories.  Age Group awards span from 24 and Under through 70 and over in 5 year increments.  The top 3 finishers in each age group will receive an award.  Awards area distributed based on the chip timing results.

Located adjacent to the YMCA building just prior to Clark Alley.

Post Race Food
The YMCA will provide post-race food located in the YMCA Gymnasium inside the main building at 90 N Newberry St.  The following items will be available for participants:  sandwiches, chips, pretzels, oranges, bananas, cookies and a variety of drinks.  

There are also a number of great restaurants in the downtown area that are available for brunch and lunch on Sundays that are in walking distance from the YMCA:

In addition, the 42nd Annual Olde York Street Fair will begin in downtown at 12:30pm.  Food options will be available during that event.
