Happy March!!

We continue through our 40 day journey toward Easter. Maybe we've experienced the aches of withdrawal from the things we gave up. Maybe we've fallen and dropped the ball on our Lenten promises. Maybe we just completely gave up altogether. Well, maybe it's time to get back up! We all fall --multiple times in fact! So did Jesus. Jesus fell three times on his way to Calvary. But with every fall, he gives us a perfect example of how to get back up. If Jesus can do it, then maybe I can, too! So, whether you have fallen in your Lenten goals or maybe you've fallen into the same sins over and over, don't get tired of asking for help and getting back up! Peace!

Yours in Christ,

Unless a Grain of Wheat...

Please join us on Wednesday, March 7th for a special faith topic. This Lent, our parish theme is the familiar Bible verse from the book of John. This evening, we're blessed to have Fr. Pat with us. He'll  be giving a small reflection so, don't miss it! Hope you'll join us. Bring a friend! Dinner will be provided.
Lenten Activities
Please take advantage of all the activities happening at the Cathedral during Lent. Take a look at our calendar on our parish website. We have Stations of the Cross every Friday beginning around 12:45pm. There's Adoration every Friday from 7:30am-11:45am. Taize prayer, Lenten reflections with Fr. Pat, parish penance service... and much more! Stay on top of your spiritual fitness goals by coming to all of these events! Check the website or contact me and I can send you the calendar myself!
Have you ever thought about serving at our Sunday 5:15pm Young Adult Mass? If so, we would love to train you and get you on the schedule! There is a special need for Lectors and Eucharistic Ministers but could also use some altar servers, musicians, and ushers! You don't have to already know what you're doing --we'll train you! If you have a desire to serve God and represent young adults at the Mass, contact Val! Thank you for your prayerful consideration!
Volunteers are needed to help bring the Eucharist to the sick and homebound on Saturday mornings. You would not be going alone but with a group of two or more. We leave from the Cathedral right after the 9am Saturday Mass (~9:30). If you are interested and available even one or two Saturdays a month, come join us on a Saturday or contact Val-   val@sdcathedral.org  for more info.

What do YOU want to do?

On Tuesday, February 13th (MARDI GRAS), the Young Adults hosted the second annual Paint and Wine Mardi Gras! St. Joe's has got some talent!  Thanks to some great suggestions by the team and by you all, we had a great time! Maybe next month's fellowship will be an idea you come up with! If you have any ideas for other fun activities the group can do together, shoot us an email and we'll make it our next fellowship meeting! Send all suggestions to Dorinamae at Dorinamae@sdcathedral.org. Thanks!
