Young Adults: AWAKENED!
September 15-17 was the annual Young Adult retreat in Julian. We had several members from our parish who attended and all came back renewed! Throughout the year, there are several opportunities to go on retreats. Stay tuned for upcoming events!
WOMEN'S DAY RETREAT
October 28th, there will be an opportunity for ladies to gather for a day retreat of recollection, prayer, and fellowship.  Join us for an Endow women's retreat - an insightful, prayerful, and inspirational spiritual retreat hosted by the Carmelite Sisters of the Most Sacred Heart of Los Angeles.  Our featured speakers are Heather King, Emily Stimpson, and Sister Gloria Maria OCD, with Mass celebrated by Archbishop José Gomez.  Cost is $75 and includes meals. Click here to register. Please contact Dorinamae if you have any other questions or would like a ride to the retreat!

Kick off Respect Life Month by purchasing your t-shirt after all Masses this weekend or you can contact Dorinamae. As Catholics, we honor life at all stages --unborn, elderly, prison inmate, immigrants, natives... God gives us life and graces us with indelible dignity. To love one's neighbor does not discriminate but, rather, it protects the dignity of our brothers and sisters who may be easily written off by everyone else in the world.

God, thank you for never writing me off. Please help me to do the same for all my brothers and sisters in Christ. Amen.
Pumpkin Carving (BYOP)
On Sunday, October 29th, join us for an evening of pumpkin carving! If you've never carved a pumpkin before, we will have a brief tutorial led by Val... but I hear it's easy enough. If you are able, please  B ring Y our O wn P umpkin. If not, we will have a couple smaller pumpkins available. If you don't have time to grab yourself a pumpkin, let us know ASAP and we can reserve you a pumpkin and you can pay us back. Whatever works. Snacks and beverages will be available but feel free to bring your own favorite carving snack to share! Hope to see you there!
Have you ever thought about serving at our Sunday 5:15pm Young Adult Mass? If so, we would love to train you and get you on the schedule! There is a special need for Lectors and Eucharistic Ministers but could also use some altar servers, musicians, and ushers! You don't have to already know what you're doing --we'll train you! If you have a desire to serve God and represent young adults at the Mass, contact Dorinamae! Thank you for your prayerful consideration!
HELP NEEDED:

Volunteers are needed to help bring the Eucharist to the sick and homebound on Saturday mornings. You would not be going alone but with a group of two or more. We leave from the Cathedral right after the 9am Saturday Mass (~9:30). If you are interested and available even one or two Saturdays a month, come join us on a Saturday or contact Val-   valizzo@gmail.com for more info.

What do YOU want to do?

On Saturday, September 2nd, the Young Adults went Stand Up Paddleboarding and we had a great time! Maybe next month's fellowship will be an idea you come up with! If you have any ideas for other fun activities the group can do together, shoot us an email and we'll make it our next fellowship meeting! Send all suggestions to Dorinamae at Dorinamae@sdcathedral.org. Thanks!
