Join St. Joe's Young Adult Ministry (YAM) for Stand Up Paddle boarding (SUP) on Saturday, September 2nd at 10am. Rental is $20/hr. After our hour, we can find a place to eat around Liberty Station. Paddle boarding is pretty fun and easy for any beginner to figure out. If you've never done it before, DON'T WORRY! It isn't something that you need any experience with. Trust me! Sometimes, I trip on my own foot on dry land and this wasn't bad. And if you still don't trust yourself, I think rentals come with a life vest! If you can RSVP ahead of time so that I can give the rental place a heads up on approximately how large our group will be, that would be very helpful. If you need a ride, let me know ASAP. Otherwise, we will just meet there at 10am. Spread the word!

**This will take place of our regular Sunday meeting. Happy Labor Day!
Young Adult Retreat
Join 120+ young adults aged 18-39 years from around the Diocese for our annual retreat!

Meet new friends in your age range (small groups by age 18-22, 23-26, 27-32 & 33+), hear inspiring and dynamic speakers; listen to awesome praise and worship music; participate in Mass, adoration and confession; have time for personal reflection as well as a bonfire and free time outdoors - zip lining, hiking, swimming, and more!

The retreat begins Friday at 6:30 PM (eat dinner before you come & please bring a snack to share) and ends Sunday at noon. The cost for 2016 is $150 per person. More details will be available at  yamsd.org.

For additional details, call Brilema Perez at the Diocesan Office for Young Adult Ministry at 858.490.8260.

Have you ever thought about serving at our Sunday 5:15pm Young Adult Mass? If so, we would love to train you and get you on the schedule! There is a special need for Lectors and Eucharistic Ministers but could also use some altar servers, musicians, and ushers! You don't have to already know what you're doing --we'll train you! If you have a desire to serve God and represent young adults at the Mass, contact Dorinamae! Thank you for your prayerful consideration!

Volunteers are needed to help bring the Eucharist to the sick and homebound on Saturday mornings. You would not be going alone but with a group of two or more. We leave from the Cathedral right after the 9am Saturday Mass (~9:30). If you are interested and available even one or two Saturdays a month, come join us on a Saturday or contact Val-   valizzo@gmail.com for more info.

What do YOU want to do?

Maybe next month's fellowship will be an idea you come up with! If you have any ideas for other fun activities the group can do together, shoot us an email and we'll make it our next fellowship meeting! Send all suggestions to Dorinamae at Dorinamae@sdcathedral.org. Thanks!
