Mishloach Manot

Happy Purim YIS Families!!
Young Israel of Scarsdale Sisterhood
will again be sponsoring a fabulous COMMUNAL
Mishloach
Manot!
This year we are participating with several shuls
under the
National Council of Young Israel to make
a statement by including only Israeli products in our
Mishloach Manot. This is a strike against the international Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions Movement and provides economic support for Israeli businesses. Our Tzedakah contribution will be going to Magen David Adom, Israel's ambulance, blood-services, and disaster relief, serving as emergency medical first responders for more than 8 million people.
Proceeds from our Mishloach Manot also enable the
sisterhood to fund the many activities we are known for
such as:
New Members Welcome Gifts; New Baby Gifts; B'nai Mitzvah Gifts; College Student Holiday Packages; Yom Kippur Break-Fast; Bikur Cholim Gifts; Shiva Meals; Candy Bags & Gifts on Simchat Torah, Purim and Shavuot.

We hope that the entire congregation will join
us in supporting Israel by ordering these fabulous
 Mishloach
Manot.
A scroll listing all members who are participating
in this communal mitzvah will be included.
To fulfill the mitzvah of
Mishloach Manot, orders
placed by YIS families will be delivered to their
homes by Thursday morning, March 24th.
