Dear Friends,

Gramatan Village members had a busy summer. Our book club was launched, our members tasted lobster on City Island, visited the Bruce Museum, enjoyed an ice cream social while learning about senior living options at Wartburg, and learned how to use smartphones and social media at our Tech Talk classes.

We thank our volunteers who helped to make our activities possible!

If you spent the summer out of town, we welcome you back! Be sure to give us a call if there is anything we can do for you!  We hope you will join us soon at one of our events.

Salute to Seniors 2017
Saturday, September 30th

Bronxville will hold its 5th annual Salute to Seniors on Saturday, September 30th. This day-long celebration of our older neighbors is co-sponsored by the Senior Citizens Council, Gramatan Village, NY-Presbyterian/Lawrence Hospital and the Bronxville Rotary Club.
Salute to Seniors is a great way to learn about community resources and services that support older residents and is especially valuable for those who may be new to the area or concerned about an aging parent or friend.  A number of community organiations will have informational tables along Pondfield Road from 10:30 AM - 12 noon.  Three popular restaurants, Underhill's Crossing, Fogarty's and Park 143 Bistro & Fish will offer "Silver Plate Lunch Specials".  At 2:00 PM all are invited to the opening reception of the Speeders 55+ Art Show at the Bronxville Library (see details above). Light refreshments will be served.
For more information:
Gramatan Village engages community residents who want to remain in the home and neighborhood they love. We support aging-in-community with a network of volunteers, community partnerships and peer connections that enable members to stay independent, and fully engaged in the community.

We look forward to seeing  you soon!
