It's the season of renewal here and the land is coming alive, now that the days are longer. The peepers have been serenading for a couple of weeks now, we've seen moose moseying around and we are watching the lilac buds coming out.
All this is happening as Mother's Day comes along this weekend and if you are looking for the perfect gift for your mom, why not celebrate with Mother Nature? We've got some great suggestions and if your mom is like our mom, she'll appreciate all the ways she can enjoy spring.
Moms ride free in coach when accompanied by her children aboard the Conway Scenic Railroad in Conway and free in first class (where she can enjoy complimentary appetizers in the Dome Car, the CP Reed and Gertrude Emma) when escorted by another paying adult.
At Lost River Gorge and Boulder Caves in North Woodstock, moms get a free admission with the purchase of a child's ticket and at Polar Caves in Rumney, moms can explore free with any other paid admission on Saturday and Sunday.
Pair it up with a nice lunch at one of our restaurants or even pack the first picnic of the season, take her on a nice walk in the woods to one of our beautiful (and fully charged) waterfalls and we'll bet you'll be mom's favorite kid.
We've got some moms standing by at the White Mountains Visitors Center, off exit 32 of Interstate 93 in North Woodstock, ready to point you in the direction of all the things they'd like their children to treat them. You can also call them at 800-346-3687 for suggestions and our website, www.VisitWhiteMountains.com, is a great place to get some great ideas.
Your 10 second are up, now get back to work and we look forward to seeing you - and your mom - real soon.
Cordially,
Your Friends at White Mountains Attractions
