Plano ISD Education Foundation Newsletter
Welcome Back to School Edition!

On September 17, your donations to the Plano ISD Education Foundation are worth more!

The Plano ISD Education Foundation will once again join nonprofits across North Texas on September 17 for the annual Giving Day.  A donation allows PISDEF continue to help all of our students achieve their full potential by providing financial support to educators and academic programs. Through matching funds, every donation of $25 or more can help PISDEF win additional dollars to make Plano ISD even stronger.

Thank you
Ewing Buick GMC of Plano

It's back-to-school month and Ewing Buick GMC of Plano wants to ensure students get the education they need. That's why this month, for every "Like" our page generates,  Ewing Buick GMC of Plano will donate $5 to the Plano ISD Education Foundation. Help the Foundation raise up to $500 for Plano students and teachers!

Grants To Educators

The Plano ISD Education Foundation Grants to Educators help Plano ISD teachers enhance instruction in schools and classrooms across the district. Teachers complete grant applications for innovative and creative classroom, school or joint projects at multiple schools. Last year the Foundation awarded more than $120,000 in grants!

Grants fund projects, programs and initiatives that directly or indirectly support the district's major goal to enhance student learning, with emphasis on closing the achievement gap and ensuring all students are college or career-ready. If you are interested in helping judge these applications please email us at howard@teamtaper.com.

About the Plano ISD Education Foundation

The Plano ISD Education Foundation was organized in 1993 to help the Plano Independent School District maintain its high standards of excellence. The nonprofit organization raises funds that support priority projects for which tax dollars are not available and this year, the supported programs include:
  • Grants to Educators throughout our district for innovative classroom projects
  • Secondary science improvement initiative impacting all middle school and high school students
  • Student scholarships so that all students can attend PISD 5th Grade Camp
  • Programs that recruit and retain the best teachers
  • Programs that promote college and career readiness for all students
  • Programs that bridge the achievement gap among students
  • Innovative initiatives that inspire learning for all students
Plano ISD Education Foundation is committed to improve our $10 million dollar legacy and inspire our donors to be heroes for students, supporting tomorrow's leaders today.
