ThickTech - Rotary Drum Thickener
Upgrade your sludge quality

The ThickTech™ Rotary Drum Thickener (RDT) is the industry leading sludge thickener. Its performance is unmatched, with sludge volume reduction of 90% and a 98% capture rate. In addition, this superior performance is achieved with very low amounts of polymer. The ThickTech™ system is quite compact and requires less floor space than other thickeners. It has low requirements for horsepower, water consumption and polymer usage, resulting in valuable operational efficiencies.

The ThickTech™ RDT increases digester capacity, reduces hauling costs and can be used as a pre-thickener to increase capacity of other dewatering equipment.

With hundreds of installations with over 20 years of operation, the ThickTech™ system is performance proven for applications in municipal water and wastewater treatment plants, industrial facilities and pulp and paper mills. It is fabricated of stainless steel and engineered to provide years of reliable service. The system utilizes a low shear floc tank, followed by dewatering with a high-performance rotary drum screen.

The ThickTech™ system is designed to achieve flocculation with a minimal amount of expensive chemicals. The floc tank has tangential inlet and outlet openings to maximize flocculation by reducing shear from turbulence. This design creates a gentle swirl that combines the sludge with the polymer. This swirling motion also increases the overall sludge detention time for floc development. A specially designed impeller maintains the swirl without breaking down the flocs.

Dewatering takes place along a multi-zone drum cylinder. The zones can have different size mesh media to augment capture efficiency as the sludge moves along the length of the cylinder. Finer mesh is generally used in the feed end where material is thinner, while downstream zones have larger openings to enhance water removal. Rings with adjustable ports control detention time in each zone. The result is capture efficiencies as high as 98% without sacrificing high inlet flow rates. High capture efficiency alone can substantially reduce polymer usage.

All-In-One Headworks Screw Screen Solution - Grind, Screen And Compact

The Auger Monster ®  is a robust headworks solution which combines three of JWC's finest technologies - a grinder, a fine screen and a compactor. This spiral screen removes trash and unwanted solids so the treatment plant runs more efficiently. The Auger Monster screw screen is proven to result in cleaner, more compact discharge and lowered disposal costs, as less water and fecal material are sent to the landfill.

First a powerful Muffin Monster ® or Channel Monster ® grinder tears apart clumps of rags, clothing and debris which enhances further processing by the screw screen.  Next, solids are captured by a perforated fine screening trough and removed by a rotating auger. As solids are removed, dual wash water zones rinse off fecal material from the shredded screenings.   The auger screen then conveys solids to the discharge point where the integrated compactor squeezes out water before depositing the cleaned and dried material into a dumpster.
The Auger Monster screw screen is not just for municipal wastewater treatment plants.  Facilities around the world such as correctional institutions, hospitals and other facilities that need to remove solids from their sewage waste streams have been relying on Auger Monsters spiral screens for many years.

An In-Channel auger screen is also available without a grinder for situations where there are limited rags and no large solids in the waste stream.
Benefits:
  • All-in-One Headworks spiral screen for smaller water treatment facilities
  • Effectively handles debris screening for high solids facilities like prisons
  • Removes fecal matter from screenings for cleaner discharge and reduced odor
  • Spiral Screen easily installs or retrofits into existing channel inside or outdoors
Features:
  • Muffin Monster or Channel Monster Grinder for enhanced solid breakdown and cleaning
  • Automated PLC monitoring and control system
  • Auger Monster pivot system for easier system maintenance
  • Optional cold weather system and/or discharge bagger
Specifications:
  • Max flows up to 4 MGD (1646 m3/hr) depending on configuration
  • Minimum channel width as small as 12" (305 mm) wide
  • Perforation sizes of 2, 3 or 6 mm

Future All American Basketball Camp

Coach Jeff Hill, a former Drake basketball player, and three former Wichita State legends hosted the Future All American Basketball Camp.  He has been putting on this camp for 35 years with the last two located in Wichita, Kansas.

Xavier McDaniel, Lynbert "Cheese" Johnson, and Aubrey Sherrod are the Shocker coaches.

The camp was put on for boys and girls ages 7-16 who are currently in disadvantaged and low income situations and would otherwise not be able to attend a basketball camp.

The camp fee included a camp t-shirt, basketball, camp photo, book bag full of supplies, trophy, and lunch each day.
