Syracuse Open House and 25 Year Celebration

This week, our staff celebrated the opening of our new Syracuse location and honored our 25 year anniversary with an open house.  It was a great day to network with staff and customers in the Syracuse area, enjoy some delicious lunch from two popular local food trucks, learn about CCSI programs, and see the newly renovated space at 600 West Genesee Street!
Education Benefits

We are happy to have been able to enhance our benefits to offer financial assistance to eligible employees interested in pursuing education and professional development opportunities to enhance their skills and competencies in key job-related areas.  This can include attendance at seminars, educational courses as well as participation in degree programs that, once acquired, will assist the employee in performing his or her essential job functions and increase the employee’s contribution to the organization.

In support of intellectual wellness, employee professional development and efforts toward our vision of being an exceptional workplace where individuals can grow and build a career, the application process for Education Benefits will be open on July 1, 2017 .  Application forms are available for you to fill-out, print and e-mail back to your Human Resources Business Partner . For more information, please see the resources below.

Glow Your Mind 5K

The glow run is being put on through the collaboration of The Community Alliance for Suicide Prevention, Chautauqua Tapestry, Chautauqua County Department of Mental Hygiene, and timing/race management will be provided by Chautauqua Striders. The partnership came out of the groups' common goal to generate awareness that mental wellness and physical wellness are of equal importance in everyone's lives. 100% of the proceeds stay local in Chautauqua County and will be used for suicide prevention efforts.

Race packet pick-up and registration will be 6:30pm-8:30pm at the Arena.

The After Glow Party and post-race celebration will begin after the runners and walkers return provided by Eventz by Scott. The results will be tabulated and the awards will be presented to the winning racers at the After Glow Party. Snacks and non-alcoholic beverages will be available with live music.

Businesses or organizations interested in sponsoring the event should contact Victoria Patti by phone at (716) 753-4519 or by email at [email protected] .

Honoring People and Their Work

Our Soaring Star Award is designed to recognize a CCSI employee for being awesome at work!  It provides a way to recognize staff members for going above and beyond in their work performance and demonstrating CCSI's Operating Principles.  You can nominate a CCSI employee who you believe should be recognized with a Soaring Star Award by contacting your HR Business Partner.  (If you’re not sure who your group’s HR business partner is, just contact Barbara Marianetti and she’ll point you in the right direction).

Three CCSI Employees were recently recognized with Soaring Star Awards!

Our two Enrollers from the Aged, Blind and Disabled Program, Bobbi McGarrity, QA Specialist/Facilitated Enroller ABD , and Tiesha Ivey, Facilitated Enroller ABD , were recognized for demonstrating the CCSI operating principle of Community Connectedness . "The presentation on the Aged, Blind, and Disabled Program that you gave to Spiritus Christi Mental Health Center staff, was found to be extremely informative. Staff were impressed by your professionalism and ability to clearly describe the services that can be obtained through the ABD program. As a result of your presentation, Spiritus Christi Mental Health Center is looking forward to an ongoing partnership with CCSI in assisting their clientele with obtaining services within the ABD program."

In our Navigator Program, Renita Moore, Navigator , received a Soaring Star Award for Excellence in Customer Service “for being an Ambassador for St. Josephs Neighborhood Center and ensuring the clientele you enroll in health insurance have continuous care by referring them to St. Joseph’s services.”

Way to go Bobbi, Tiesha, and Renita!
