Thank You For Showing Your Community Spirit At The Bothell Block Party
Hundreds of people came to downtown on Saturday to commemorate the one-year anniversary of the Bothell Fire. We connected with our neighbors, talked with first responders, and found out a lot more about the businesses that were damaged or destroyed by last year's fire. The
Nursing Student Program also revealed their project results on the impact of the fire.
Attendees were treated to great live music, libations, kid's activities, food vendors and more! Special thank you's to all who came, our volunteers, vendors, firefighters, police officers, EMT's and Main Street businesses!

Honor and recognize small businesses for their contributions to the King County economy by casting your nominations for King County Executive's Seventh Annual Small Business Awards.
This program celebrates the importance and accomplishments of small businesses, throughout King County, in the following categories: Minority-Owned, Woman-Owned, Exporting, Green/Sustainable, Workforce Development, Rural, and the overall Small Business of the Year.
To be eligible for nomination, businesses must be located in King County, have 50 or fewer full-time equivalent employees, and have been in business for at least three years. Previous winners and finalists are ineligible for nomination.

Construction Begins On Community Transit's Seaway Transit Center
Economic Impact: There are currently about 25,000 jobs in the Canyon Park area and 65,000 jobs in the Boeing/Paine Field vicinity. Snohomish County is the manufacturing center of Washington State. Fast, frequent new bus service between Canyon Park and Paine Field will provide more incentive for workers and shoppers to choose Swift instead of driving their cars. This eases congestion and brings economic vitality to the area.
An expanded Swift network will help keep Snohomish County a great place to live, work and play.

King County Ready Business Workshop Series QuakeSmart & Power Outage

The Ready Business Workshop contains five sections that align with the ReadyBusiness Toolkit. The first three sections outline the step-by-step process in the toolkit: IDENTIFY YOUR RISK, DEVELOP A PLAN, and TAKE ACTION.
The next section of the workshop is a SCENARIO-BASED DISCUSSION, which reinforces the three steps through a simulated disaster.
Finally, an optional PARTNERSHIP SHOWCASE may be organized and added to the workshop agenda to provide opportunities for relevant vendors and service organizations to network with participants and share relevant preparedness and mitigation information. Workshops are free but registration is required.

EBC - Northshore Looking to Collect 5,000 Pairs of Children's Pants
August 1- September 9, 2017
Pants Party is a fun and free event put on by EBC each year and it features family-friendly activities, music, pony rides, face painting and so much more. Event is no charge, but it is requested that people bring new or gently-used children's pants to the event to donate. The event is September 9th, so that pants donated at the event can be given to kids for the incoming school year.
