2017 Candidates Forum - Kenmore City Council

The community is invited to the 2017 Kenmore City Council Candidates Forum. This is a free public non-partisan event. Candidates running for election are invited to communicate their stances regarding issues that affect the Kenmore community, and their qualifications and experience for the positions they seek to hold. This is an opportunity for the public to get to know candidates. This event will be videotaped and will be available on the Chamber website within several days of the event.
  
Note: The 2017 Bothell Candidates Forum will be held on October 23, 2017.

Community Conversations - Local Perspectives On Opioid Addiction:
The epidemic affecting your children, your business, your community and your safety.

The community is invited to a presentation and panel discussion hosted by Community Conversations, a City of Bothell community outreach program. The event will include 3-4 speakers, including the City of Bothell Police Chief Carol Cummings, a treatment specialist, and a parent of a child dealing with or lost to addiction. Come learn about the epidemic and how you can help prevent additional tragic overdoses or addictions.   Information

Robbie Christmas is a Seattle-based singer songwriter and instrumentalist best known for his pure, soulful voice, timeless lyrics and skilled musicianship.  Robbie has performed with Jakob Dylan, Tower Of Power, has sung the National Anthem in front of 68,000 NFL fans (49ers vs. Seahawks), and performed with Train, Michael Franti, Andy Grammar, on their "Sail Across the Sun" cruise. They hope to see you there!

Paid Sick Leave Presentation With Labor & Industries Hosted By: Economic Alliance of Snohomish County

Join EASC for a discussion about implementation of Paid Sick Leave with Labor & Industries. All employers will be required to offer paid sick leave under Initiative 1433 (passed in 2017) to their employees beginning January 1, 2018. Labor & Industries (L&I) will be giving a presentation on how this will affect all employers both public and private. This will be one of the only events in Snohomish County where attendees will have an opportunity to ask questions directly with L&I before this part of the law goes into effect.  Space is limited, attendees must RSVP for this free session.
