Come explore this new community market in Kenmore! Northshore Cedar Park Church is looking forward to hosting this outdoor, community market as a service to their neighbors in Kenmore and surrounding communities. Over 20 vendors including farmers, crafters, food trucks, and artisans will be in their paved lot bordering 68th Avenue, a quick easy walk from Kenmore's new downtown city center. Thursday will be market day, it will be open 3:00-8:00 PM, June 1-August 31. Check-in and bottle sales will be at Alexa's Cafe starting at 5:00pm. Must be 21+ yrs to participate but shops are open to all during this fun event. Addt'l parking is available at City Hall Garage, and at new Lot by Baskin & Robbins.


Bothell Block Party and BrewFest Was An Awesome Sold-Out Success!
 
2,600 people poured into the music-filled streets of Bothell at the 3rd annual Block Party & BrewFest! On this perfect sunny day everyone celebrated with 20+ breweries, cideries, and wineries, the amazing sounds of several live bands, and enjoyed food from five delicious food trucks. Among the Chamber Member participants and valued sponsors were  Cairn Brewing, Foggy Noggin Brewing, Beardslee Public House & Brewery, McMenamins Anderson School Brewery, Road Dawg, LINQ Lofts & Flats, The 104 Apartments, The Junction, and The Spencer 68 Apartments & Lofts.

Extra special thank you's to our amazing volunteers and UW Bothell who made it all possible!

Brad Mott is the 2nd Vice Chair of the Chamber Board of Directors. Brad is also an active member of the Northshore Rotary and Kenmore Business Alliance.  Kenmore Smiles s erves the communities of Kenmore, Bothell, and beyond. In addition to volunteering at community events he and his friendly office staff also have an Adopt-a-Street in Kenmore.

Steve & Cecilia Holmes at WhatsSup Stand-Up Paddle & Surf brought their passion to the NW after moving here from Hawaii.
  
Steve & Cecilia both are really involved in the Bothell and Kenmore communities where you can travel between their sites on paddle board, kayak, canoe or ride a beach cruiser.
  
This company brings a lot of fun but also is active in helping keep the Sammamish River and Lake WA waterfronts clean, teaches water safety, hires local teens and college age students and works with other local groups to expand the availability of water sports in our community.

Storefront Studio Project Is Helping Enhance Downtown This Spring

You're invited to view the originally wonderful designs the hard-working students of the  University of Washington Architecture Department's Storefront Studio have created for possible use as façade designs for storefronts, living spaces, and other improvements in the downtown core. The City of Bothell Government is working with the "Storefront Studio" project, and community meetings will present the students' analysis and proposals. The next open house to view their designs is June 2!

Bothell Farmer's Market Opening Day At Country Village Shops

The 20th annual Bothell Farmers Market features a large variety of in-season, locally-grown produce, straight from the farm! Pick up fresh-cut flower bouquets, berries, homemade baked goods, fresh bread, eggs, organic fruits & veggies, oil & vinegar, honey, coffee, loose leaf tea, & jams! They also sell handmade items from local artisans including jewelry, candles, & more.

An exhibit featuring the work of Irina Milton, national award-winning fine-arts painter from Mukilteo known for her lavish interpretations of everyday life, will open Friday, June 2 at the Arts of Kenmore Gallery. 
 
The public is invited to an Opening Reception for "The Art of Irina Milton," from 6:30-8:00pm on Friday, June 2 that will include a special presentation by the Ukraine born artist. The exhibit will remain on display through Aug. 10.

Help Bothell Physical Therapy Win The Diaper Derby for Eastside Baby Corner

The Diaper Derby is a fun race among local businesses and organizations to collect diapers for children living in poverty or crisis.  Bothell Physical Therapy has a "horse" in the third running of the Diaper Derby, and  is collecting diapers from May 5 to June 10. Every diaper they collect will advance their horse along the track. After the competition, Eastside Baby Corner will give all of the diapers collected to local children in need.  How can you help? Drop off diapers in the sizes listed below, and help us collect more than other local businesses.

Bastyr University Greenhouse Dedication

Northshore Senior Center is Now Accepting Donations for the Annual Ransacked Attic Sale
 Donations Accepted June 1 - July 28
 
Northshore Senior Center is now accepting donations for their annual August Ransacked Attic Sale. The drive up/drop off site is now in operation. Donations may be delivered to Northshore Senior Center, 10201 East Riverside Dr., Bothell beginning June 1 through July 28, 2017. Preferred donation times are Monday through Friday, 9am-3pm.   

Your donation is important to the Senior Center & the success of the sale. Proceeds from the sale benefit services at Northshore Senior Center.
 
Donation not accepted include large furniture, large appliances such as refrigerators, washers, dryers, computer equipment, televisions, baby furniture, strollers, car seats, exercise equipment. The Senior Center can schedule a pick off if you have trouble bringing items to the Center. If in doubt about a donation, please call for assistance, 425-487-2441 or Mary Evans at 425-398-8416, maryelaineevans@comcast.net.
