City Of Kenmore Hosts "For The Love Of Kenmore" Event
Monday, April 3
6:00 - 9:00 PM

Kenmore City Hall, 18120 68th Ave. NE, Kenmore

For The Love Of Kenmore!

He's back for round two! Peter Kageyama's visit in the spring of 2015 was a game changer. He taught us that we can actually fall in love with our city by going beyond the purely functional and by implementing ideas for beauty, art, and connecting people together. He taught us how to bring out the "co-creator" in all of us and generate emotional investments in our community through what Peter calls "love notes." Since then, many love note projects have spawned throughout Kenmore, including block parties, art, beautification, and more.

Food and refreshments will be provided. Click here for more information

Arts of Kenmore Gallery Invites Public To Vote On "Earth, Sky, and Water" Exhibit
Now Thru May 11
Kenmore City Hall, 18120 68th Ave NE., Kenmore

10 semi-final artworks exhibited at Kenmore City Hall are open for public voting.  "Earth, Sky, and Water," is a juried exhibit sponsored by the Hwy 522 Beautification Project in partnership with the Arts of Kenmore.

What began as a whimsy "hey, let's decorate the concrete plant" has become a citizens' campaign to add color and character to Kenmore with public artwork along the Hwy 522 corridor. "Let's Beautify This!" quickly became the project's motto when their giant banner was draped across concrete tanks along the Burke-Gilman Trail. The public is invited to participate in the final selection by voting for their Top 3 Favorite artworks. Ballot voting will be available at the city hall exhibit through May 11. The final artwork selection will be enlarged and printed to fit the 32-foot by 47-foot banner.

For more information on the Hwy 522 Beautification Projects, contact Andrea Hansen at letsbeautifythis@gmail.com
