Open House on Proposed City of Kenmore/Puget Sound Energy Electric Utility Franchise Agreement

The City of Kenmore and Puget Sound Energy (PSE) recently concluded negotiations on a new Franchise Agreement, and the community is invited to an informational Open House. The City Council begins its review of the proposed agreement at the January 22 Council meeting, which begins afterwards at 7:00 PM.  Action by the City Council is expected on January 29, 2018. The proposed agreement and other materials will be posted on the City's website on January 12. A franchise, in this case, is a non-exclusive right for a utility company to operate in the City's right of way. As a private utility provider, PSE is regulated by the Washington Utilities and Transportation Commission.

How To Live With Climate Change Event at Northshore Senior Center

In order to better understand what this means and how to adjust to changes, Northshore Senior Center has formed a sustainability program which will offer recycling and climate related information to benefit the entire community.
