Episcopal Youth Event/Mission Trip
E.Y.E. (Episcopal Youth Event), a national youth conference that draws over 1,000 participants from across the U.S. and beyond, is held once every three years--and this year is the year! This summer it will take place in Edmond, Oklahoma, and our Diocese aims to be well-represented. Each diocese is allocated a limited number of spaces. Apply to participate by filling out  our online application by the end of this month.

The Diocese of Georgia's group will be making E.Y.E. the centerpiece of a broader mission trip, traveling to Oklahoma over several days and after the Episcopal Youth Event perform some service work. During the trip our young people will get a chance to meet other young Episcopalians from across the country, to worship and play together, and to explore their Baptismal Covenant's commitment to "serve Christ in all persons, loving your neighbor as yourself."

The total cost for the event is $1,200, and financial aid is available. Please contact the Rev. Joshua Varner, our Diocesan Youth Missioner with questions.

Lead, Grow and Share: A Year-end Gift
As 2016 comes to a close, I reflect on the blessings and gifts given to the Diocese and our community this past year. At our convention in November, we launched the final stage of the Campaign for Congregational Development. The ministries formed and supported by the generous donations so far have shown the love of Christ throughout--not just in our congregations but stretching out beyond the pews into our communities. It is our continued desire to find ways to Lead, Grow and Share in the Diocese of Georgia.

To reach the goal of $3M, it will take the sacrifice, generosity, and partnership of everyone in the Diocese. On any given Sunday, we have an average of 6,000 people worshipping. If each person were to commit $6 a month for three years, we would reach our goal. If you feel called to give during this Christmastide, please visit the site and follow the directions below. For more information about how the Campaign has made an impact videos can be found at campaign.georgiaepiscopal.org.

I thank each and everyone one of you for the gifts, love, and generosity you bestow in the Diocese and your communities.
