Safreno, 2017 Veteran of the Year
A resolution signed by Susan Gorin was presented to Robert Safreno for being recognized as the Sonoma County 2017 Veteran of the Year at the Memorial Day event held at the Rohnert Park Community Center on May 29.

Pie throwing contest at Technology Middle School
The money collected will go to Mrs. Cartwright, a long time librarian, to pick and purchase many books that will be used over and over for all of the students attending Technology Middle School once formerly known as Mt. Shadows Middle School.

Sonoma Raceway has vintage cars
The weekend of June 2nd to 4th will welcome the Sportscar Vintage Racing Association (SVRA) to Sonoma Raceway for the Sonoma Historic Motorsports Festival.

Titans play hard
The first ever Technology High School Baseball team consisting of; Matt O'Brien, Jordan Hartwick, Samuel Petro, Benjamin Petro, Tyler Meinhofer, Juan Villasenor, Jesse Earl, Lorenzo Aguirre, Anthony Ditizio, Roi Ochoa, Kade Crandall, Steven McDowell, Jake Beatie, Sebastiano Piombo, Lucan Krausharr, Matt Green, Nate Young, Sam Morrow, Benjamin Harp, Porter Brookston, Angelo Telucci, Robbie Salerno, Jaeden Baring and Ryan Barnes; to make it to the playoffs gather around Head Coach Mark Meinhofer, Assistant Coach Robert Ditizio and Assistant Coach Keith Crandall. The Titans played extremely well, but lost the game 6-1 after 7 innings.

'She is safe'
Janaea Mason, a senior at Rancho Cotate High School and member of the Varsity Softball team, is safe at first base during their game against Montgomery High School at Montgomery on Friday, May 26. The teams met up to play in the second round of NCS playoffs. Montgomery defeated Rancho 9-5 and will move on to the next round of playoffs.

For Ted Green a hobby turned into an obsession
In the industrial area of Rohnert Park stands an A-board sign that says, "paint and body shop." Nothing else! If you enter the driveway, you are greeted by old bodies of cars, half painted cars and really junk.

"Teacher of the Month" Megan Lesser
Friday May 26 it will be a memorable day for Megan Lesser, a special education teacher at Technology Middle School. Mix 104.9 radio station and SPOE, Sonoma County Office of Education surprised Lesser with a tremendous roar of greetings and "We love you Miss Lesser" in the gymnasium. She was nominated by her peers and received the honor of being "Teacher of the Month" with a special plaque and a stipend in the amount of $400.
