A lot of our freedom is dependent on the second amendment first. It is the very first thing to attack if you want to vex the electorate in various corners seemingly not related to guns. See my commentary today.

Here's a heads up to candidates running on the liberty platform. Here's something to talk to voters about, too: Let's call it 'running around with guns'. Anti-freedom activists call the armed citizen 'running around with guns', so let's use that term a second.

Alright then: Imagine people running around with guns. There are by some counts close to 3 million adults who hold a concealed carry permit, 2 million by other estimates. There are 90 million gun owners in this country, in whose hands there are roughly 300 million weapons. Some states do not require a permit to open-carry a sidearm, some states donot even require gun registration, and many states affirm concealed carry of a sidearm without a permit.

That's a lot of people running around with guns!!! Good gravy!

Then, where are all the shootings predicted by the anti-freedom crowd?

When the astute and brightest of the dim anti-freedom crowd insists that we can't have people running around with guns for fear of what will happen, they failed to notice that millions of honest adults are already 'running around with guns' and nothing happens!

This, of course, impeaches the ant-freedom again. None of their predictions have come true. That is the part to remember.

When you go to vote November 2nd, be sure to think of how gun control has been a beach head for immense and costly boondoggles we are now experiencing as one people.

Most of all, we need to emphasize to non-gun owner voters one simple two-part observation, with their credibility - and our tolerance for lousey service - as the main point of this commentary: none of the fears of the left have come true, no matter how severe they have sounded. But the fears of the free have come true almost one by one, and they are getting worse. For a party who accuses everyone else of fear-mongering, it's now a matter of credibility and even danger to tolerate this any longer.

None of the problems we experience today could have been possible without gun control first. They will not be alleviated for a smaller government without the repeal of gun laws first.

Unseat the anti-liberty in November.

For the first time that anybody could remember the penny-pinching, small c conservative Councillor Rob Ford is now Toronto mayor. Take heart, American Patriots everywhere! Figurative bells began ringing out from the bellwether City of Toronto last night, sounding the clarion call: "Progressives beware!"

Toronto has long been Canada's center of progressive politics and far left activists had come to regard it as a lock-down state. The main lesson from the voting public: If it can happen here, it can happen anywhere. More . . .

My military friends have a favorite saying: "If you're not catching flak, you're not over the target." This campaign season, conservative women in politics have caught more flak than WWII Lancaster bombers over Berlin. Despite daily assaults from the Democratic machine, liberal media and Hollyweird - not to mention the stray fraggings from Beltway GOP elites - the ladies of the right have maintained their dignity, grace and wit . . .
