Organically created, the Soul Space Building offers a variety of wellness and spiritual services, including an Asian-influenced spa, a vegan cafe, an organic hair salon, a yoga center, and the Onondaga School of Therapeutic Massage. This Thursday, November 29th from 5:30 to 7:30 PM, an Open House will showcase this array of unique businesses, while offering samples, demonstrations, entertainment, and more! The Soul Space Building invites the local community to celebrate this true gem committed to a holistic approach to health and life!
"Although we hoped to [create a] building for Syracuse's healing-type-businesses, we never imagined a community like this would emerge!" Explained by Liz Goldenberg, one of the owners of the building space, the health and holistic theme was always the goal.
Originally purchased for a home to the Onondaga School of Therapeutic Massage, the additional levels of the building were initially unaccounted for. Seeing a need for an upscale day spa in the downtown region, Spa Zend was formed. Later, Liz and her partner Van Delia were approached by the current owners of Strong Hearts Cafe to create a vegan restaurant to fill additional space. Strong Hearts' immediate success is evident by its recently renovated space, which will also be showcased at the Soul Space Open House this Thursday. With connections and customers growing, soon enough Hair Habitat, an organic hair salon, as well as CNY Yoga, both joined the community. Also home to various therapists, the building has developed into a spiritual safe-haven for many. It is now time to dedicate this special space an official name, the Soul Space Building.
