We cannot consistently behave in ways that are different from what we believe about ourselves - Pastor/writer Ken Boa

Just because we are through with our "31 Days of Prayer" emphasis, doesn't mean we are done PRAYING.

God has given us a pretty clear road map when it comes to life and defining for us our "TRUE IDENTITY" as a Christ Follower. Join us on Sunday's beginning February 4th as we look at what the scriptures teach us about our "True Identity".

We are so excited here at Heritage Community Church to be hosting a Simulcast of Worship as Work.  And even more excited to invite you to be with us.  Perhaps, not just you but those who work for you or with you, no matter where they are on their Faith journey.

God has a purpose for us on this earth. That calling is to be on mission for God where He has placed us. And since many people spend the majority of their waking hours on the job, we have to stop compartmentalizing life into "spiritual activities" and "work activities."

The Work as Worship Retreat will have eleven influential business leaders and pastors will discuss what it looks like to connect faith and work. Taking place as a 1-Day Local Church Retreat on February 23, 2018, the live event in Dallas will be web-streamed to over 2,000 churches around the world. You don't want to miss this opportunity.

Tickets are $25 - includes continental breakfast, lunch, snacks and all sessions.

Tree House Kids

Hello, Parents!

February is one of my favorite months. I just LOVE  how the focus is on LOVE .  And I LOVE red and hearts! Then there's chocolate...:)

Everyone serving in Children's Ministry at Heritage is really good at showing LOVE  to our kids all year long. They serve because they LOVE your kids and want to share the LOVE of Jesus with them. Don't you just LOVE that as a parent?

On Sunday, February 11th, there will be Family Worship in the Hideout for our elementary families. We will start at 10:35 and you will be in the Worship Center by 11:00. It is such a sweet time to worship together and to remember the ultimate LOVE  that Jesus showed us by taking the Lord's Supper. Whether the kids are watching or participating, it is one of the LOVE -liest ways we can start Valentine week.

If your child wants to go to camp this summer but you need more time to register, just let me know. We would LOVE  to see all of our third through sixth graders go!! They will LOVE it.

Your monthly resources are attached below. We hope that they will support you as the main spiritual influencer of your children. I think you will LOVE  how they connect with this month of LOVE .

As we focus on prayer this month as a church family, I have attached specific prayers that you can write down and prayer over your precious children. The power of a praying parent is even more than we can imagine.

"We will not hide these truths from our children, we will tell the next generation about the glorious deeds of the Lord, about His power, and His mighty miracles."  Psalm 78:4

Partnering with you and praying for you,

Sharon Burris
Children's Director

Join "Bless Fruitland Park" and our community churches, businesses, individuals, civic groups and our local elementary school as we all partner together to make a difference within our city and greater Fruitland Park area.

As we build a better community by being a blessing there will be activities and events throughout the week such as code enforcement assistance, pre-school day at the library, appreciation for our first responders, senior adult luncheon, Bless Day, a 5K race, as well as assistance with building ramps for seniors in need, and of course Winterfest.

We are encouraging businesses, small groups, churches and others to come up with their ideas of how they can make a difference! Take a picture and us a short story of how you or your group participated this year. Email it to sherry@heritagecommunity.org, we would love to post these on our Facebook page as well as next month's newsletter.

Since inception six years ago, Project Legacy has invested more than $93,000 into more than 45 area organizations that work with our area children.

Recently the Project Legacy team hosted it's annual "Legacy in Motion" meeting which gathered supporters as well as reflection on some of the area's nonprofit organizations (focusing on child and teen programs) that have received financial assistance from them during the past year.

At this year's gathering, the team also gifted awards to two new programs within our community. Congratulations to our Local 4H Club "Southern Traditions" along with a mentoring program from Leesburg Elementary School.

If you would like to know more about Project Legacy, you can visit projectlegacy.net or email Pastor Sidney at sidney@heritagecommunity.org. Project Legacy is its own 501 (c)3 "Bringing Awareness That Leads To Generosity"
