Participate in 9th Annual Planetree Video Contest
Criteria for Video Contest
- It must demonstrate Planetree spirit
- It must clearly reference Planetree
- It must be no longer than 3 minutes (including titles and credits)
- It must be submitted in MP4 format
Remember, your video can be a comedy, documentary, or a musical, but it must
meet all of the above criteria to win. The Planetree Academy will select the winners, and the winning videos will be showcased at the 2016 Spirit of Planetree Awards on Wednesday, November 2nd, 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM, Chicago Marriott Downtown, Magnificent Mile, Chicago, IL

Nancy Frates' 27-year-old son Peter was diagnosed with ALS, Lou Gehrig's disease. Their world changed in a moment. They were told that there is no treatment or cure and the prognosis was 2 to 5 years. Since that day, Nancy has immersed herself in the ALS community.

Alex Sheen's father died of small cell lung cancer on September 4th, 2012. His father was good with his promises, so Alex titled his father's eulogy "because I said I would" and created the promise card in his memory and founded "because I said I would", a social movement and nonprofit dedicated to the betterment of humanity through the importance of a promise.
