CEO Update
Hammond-Henry Hospital has grown and become more and more successful through the years. There is a lot of credit to go around, but without question the Board of Directors deserves a lot of the credit. In June of this year, we said good-bye and thank you to two board members and also welcomed two newly elected trustees.
The board recognized Gary Gesme and Bruce West for serving Hammond-Henry 21 years, with a total combined service of 42 years. They have led the organization through five building projects (including the Colona Clinic) and multiple operational improvements. Their leadership and commitment will be greatly missed.
Janelle Pettit and Denise Ward were appointed by the Henry County board to replace the two board positions. Janelle has worked in healthcare for a number of years and her background and experience will be of great benefit to the board. Janelle is employed by The Medicines Company as the Vice President of US Healthcare Systems. Denise Ward is a long time Geneseo resident and is employed by Central Bank as the Marketing and Human Resources Officer. Both of these ladies bring multiple strengths to their new roles and their talents will assist Hammond-Henry well into the future.
