The Engineers are Coming!!
The annual event to get "Skuled"
Skule Night 17Skule Nite (pronounced "school night" - we use the metric spelling) is the annual musical-comedy revue produced by the Engineering Society at the University of Toronto. It is directed, written, produced, created and performed 100% by students and students alike. The event started in 1921 and was originally held at Massey Hall. Entire terms were spent building the elaborate sets for the show. In 1923, the show switched venues to Hart House Theatre, making this year's show the 96th Skule Nite at Hart House Theatre and the longest running annual show on our stage.

Once Upon a Time
Only Human Dance Collective's annual production
Only Human 2017
From the Producer:

"We grow up surrounded by stories, both the fictional and the real. These stories are shared among us, creating a sense of community and companionship. However, stories are not always told verbally. Dance is another language altogether; a dancer tells a tale with each movement, with each step forming the words. Whether taking inspiration from a well known story or telling a story of ones own, the Only Human Dance Collective's 2016-2017 production Once Upon A Time embodies sharing the stories of our lives through dance."

Celebrating the Diversity of Dance
The 22nd Annual U of T Festival of Dance
FoD 2017
At the end of this month, Hart House Theatre is pleased to present the 22nd Annual University of Toronto Festival of Dance. Created as an avenue to provide dance groups on campus the opportunity to perform on stage for an audience, the Festival of Dance has now grown into a celebration of the diversity and prosperity of the U of T dance community. Past events have included over 60 different dance pieces, well over 200 performers and an impressive variety of dance forms including jazz, ballet, ballroom, modern, contact improv, hip-hop, musical theatre, Irish, Latin, and Egyptian belly dancing, just to name a few. With such an abundance of dance groups associated with U of T, participation in the festival is a great opportunity for dance groups to interact, collaborate and promote their own work and ventures.
