Message from ORRC President on 2016 Budget

The board adopted its 2016 budget at December's board meeting. 2016 Budget estimates a $34,000 annual loss while maintaining 2015 programs and services. A 6-point financial policy was also adopted to maximize profitability. Both 2016 budget and financial policy can be found in the December meeting minutes - click here.
Volunteers (and Participants) Needed for Hagg Mud event

If you are not running Hagg Mud in February and want to spend some time watching the muddy fun, all volunteer opportunities have been posted to UltraSignup.

On the main page will be a green volunteer button. Click and have fun. If you are looking for volunteer hours for an upcoming race we have you covered. Any time big or small you can spend makes a difference.

If you have any questions, please email me at [email protected] Thanks!

Of course, we'd also love to see you as a participant on either of the Hagg Mud days of February 13 (50K) or 14 (25K). Click here to register.
Want to be a Certified Flagger?

Daniel Brewer, past ORRC President and long-time volunteer, is holding a flagging certification class on the evening of January 25, 2016 at the Beaverton City Library.

Having our own certified flaggers to help on a few events would save ORRC $$$.

Thursday Training Leader Needed

After many years of leading our east side Thursday evening training sessions, Carole Reiley is stepping down as that leader. If you're interested in helping to continue the Thursday evening training sessions, please contact Steve Wright at [email protected]. ORRC wants to thank Carole for her dedication to this important aspect of ORRC's mission.
ORRC Board Member Changes

We wanted to give a huge thanks to all of the 2015 4th Quarter outgoing Board members, Valerie Pratt, Bonny Benton, and Beckie Tempel. Your dedication to ORRC has truly inspired all ORRC members. We wish you the best of luck in the future, and will miss having each of you on the Board with us.

And welcome to incoming Board member Pattric Langley, ORRC's VP Race Operations!
Blue Lake Run Medals Now Available

2015 Blue Lake Run finisher medals and ribbons can be picked up at the upcoming annual banquet or at any future 2016 ORRC race event.  We apologize for the long wait.
ORRC Secretary Needed

We're looking for an ORRC member who has a few hours of free time a month to serve a critical role, as ORRC Secretary for 2016.  The Secretary fosters communication and diligence through proper management and utilization of important records such as meeting minutes and the organization's bylaws.  Interested individuals can contact Steve Wright at [email protected].
1200 Club Registration is Still Open

Do you want to give yourself a challenge for 2016? Why not try joining ORRC's 1200 Club?

The 1200 Club is a free recognition program for any club member who runs or walks 1,200 miles in one year (averaging 100/month, or about 25/week).

Club Membership Services Now With RunSignUp

Each current ORRC membership should have received an email message directly from RunSignUp to "claim" their account. If you didn't receive it, or have other membership related questions, please email Alan Smith at [email protected]. It's important for you to complete the "claim" process, that's how RunSignUp will know you're an ORRC member when you sign up for one of our events. Here's some helpful information on that process - click here.

Don't forget that RunSignUp works great on your mobile phone too!
Race Directors Wanted

Have you ever wanted to put on a race or know all the things that happen behind the scenes? ORRC is looking for volunteer Race Directors to help with our events. As a new Race Director with ORRC, you are paired with an experienced RD who will guide you through your specific tasks. As a perk, volunteer RD's also get free registration at all ORRC events and you'll also gain a lot of leadership, logistics, and communication skills in the process. If this is something that interests you, please contact me to find out more.
