Greetings Chamber Members,
I hope you had a great Easter weekend and got to enjoy some wonderful Southern California Spring weather. I spent Easter day at a local park with family and friends, eating a variety of good food, playing Bocci Ball and Corn Hole while catching up on recent happenings and Life events. I was reminded how quickly time passes when the young children of past years are now young adults preparing to leave home, enter college or start a small business. It is nice to listen to their excitement when they share their vision and dreams.
This week, for business owners, we are hosting a seminar at the Chamber office, in partnership with the Inland Empire Small Business Development Center about how to gain an advantage over your competitors by obtaining certifications for your business. Attend this seminar and discover how securing the designation of Small Business, Woman-Owned, Minority-Owned, or Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise can help you do business with some of the most reputable government agencies, prime contractors and Fortune 500 companies. Plus, the U.S. SBA will be in attendance to discuss the SBA's 8(a) application and answer your questions. Read below for more details and seminar registration.
Thursday night there will be a Multi Chamber mixer at the Double Tree by Hilton in Claremont. This mixer has Cirque du Soleil Style Entertainment and will be an exciting evening for networking and fun. I look forward to seeing you there.
Have a successful week!
