Communication to our Chamber members regarding a Proposed Water Tax, Legislation SB 623
The Rancho Cucamonga Chamber of Commerce with guidance from its Legislative Affairs Committee has approved to join the efforts to oppose SB 623.
This bill creates a tax on water! Plus, it creates a whole new bureaucracy to administer the fee and set the water tax rate from year to year. For reasons unknown, this bill also authorizes a special tax on fertilizer and a special tax on milk! We encourage our members to contact their state legislators and governor to voice opposition to this proposed tax on water.
As we continue to grow as a Chamber, please know that partnerships with our sponsors are vital to realizing our mission of promoting a business-friendly environment to enhance the quality of life and the economy of Rancho Cucamonga.
