Looking for Volunteers?
Let us help!
Join us for "Utilizing Get Connected at Your Nonprofit" on Wednesday, May 25th from 9:00 am until 11:00 am. Learn how your organization can leverage the time and talents of local volunteers! This session is designed for users who are new to the system or need a refresher course. A laptop or tablet is recommended to make the most of this workshop.

The primary objectives of this workshop include:

1. Learn how to navigate your Get Connected profile to update information, post new opportunities, and remove old opportunities
2. Learn how to leverage various Get Connected features to improve the visibility of opportunities and connect with the right volunteers
3. Create and post at least one opportunity on your profile for the summer months, in preparation for our summer outreach and marketing

How Effective is Your
Call-To-Action?
fundraisingIP.com  urges readers to transform their calls-to-action from bleak to brilliant with helpful tips:
  • Show donors where their money is going. Instead of "Donate Now," say, "Help fund a week of summer programming for at-risk youth."
  • Be deliberate about the organization's needs. If man(woman)power is needed, make the call-to-action clearly for volunteers.
  • Set a deadline for the needs - openness allows for people to put things off for longer periods of time (which means they are more likely to forget).
  • Never forget about storytelling! Meaningful stories that connect to the donor are imperative.
  • Make a donate button that catches the eye. People are less likely to click a link. Also, make sure it is easy to find. Your donor shouldn't have to search for the opportunity to help.
