It was a beautiful day for our annual FunFest and proved to be a great success as we had a steady flow of people throughout the entire day. In the words of Jason Castleberry, Post Commander for the Laramore-Osborne American Legion Post 100 in Royse City, "It was a great day for our post at FunFest!". They sold all the tickets for their raffle, talked to numerous veterans, had two new members join the post and found a veteran in need that they can assist.
Our favorite contests were back, as well as some new events and our live band, Southern Ride!
RunFest had a banner year by hosting more runners than ever before and it was great seeing them accept their medals on the Main Stage.
MicroFest also continues to grow with more local Texas Brewers taking part, including our very own Thirsty Bro Brewing Company!
We truly appreciate all the hard work that the organizers of these events put into making them so fun for everyone. Also, our volunteers are the BEST! That's why they are all invited to our VolunTastic! Party on
November 16th beginning at 5:30 at Shenaniganz. See you there!

Our next upcoming event in Feb is our Casino for a Cause & Silent Auction, we are now accepting sponsorship for this event, see link below for more information.
Please join the owners and staff of Royse City Urgent Care as they celebrate their grand opening and ribbon cutting on Thursday, Nov. 16th at 1:00 p.m. The clinic is located at 576 W. I-30, Royse City (in front of Walmart). Light refreshments will be served.

With the rapid growth of businesses in Royse City, you will be happy to know the Chamber has had quite an increase of opportunities to refer many of our members from Advertising to Website Design. It is our pleasure to continue our partnerships with each and every one of you!
We were happy to welcome one of our newest members to the Chamber with a plaque presentation held at the October luncheon, Tommy Baugh with NTX Indoor Digital Billboards, welcome!

Aimee Griffiths from Café Momentum made quite an impression with the audience at the Royse City Chamber of Commerce Luncheon on October 18th. Café Momentum works solely with teenagers who have recently been released from juvenile detention. They are taught basic life skills, education and employment skills to reacclimate themselves into society. They go through a 9 week training program while going to school and working for the company part time. The company also has several partnerships with various business that hires these teens for permanent positions. They have a very high success rate of teens not returning to juvenile detention or their former lifestyle. They are located in Dallas and are open Thursday-Saturdays to the public for dinner.
