Farewell to Summer Festival Thanks You!

Our GoFundMe page has recently received two donations towards these tasks but we have a long way to go. Please help and support!

We have also added new furniture! Come visit and see the beautiful antique pieces from around the time the house was built in 1777.

League of Women Voters of Lehigh County

PRESS RELEASE
Date: September 21, 2017
Organization: League of Women Voters of Lehigh County
Subject: September 2017 Hot Topics Luncheon

"Impact of Immigration on the Lehigh Valley"

Kathryn Albarelli, Esq., a local immigration attorney, recently spoke to members of the League of Women Voters of Lehigh County and the public about the challenges of immigrants and "Dreamers" participating in the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program under new directives established by the Trump Administration.

Albarelli gave specific examples of the processes and fears these individuals must constantly contend with.  An additional speaker, a Dreamer, said that even though they work and pay taxes, Dreamers do not receive any governmental benefits, healthcare or social security. Dreamers must wait to become naturalized citizens until Congress writes legislation.
