4 Reasons to Consider Remarketing

Remarketing: what is it?

Well, have you ever wished you could get people to come back to your website if they've left without buying? That's where remarketing comes in. It uses online display advertising to retarget people who have left your site without becoming a customer. Remarketing serves up relevant ads to your audience that reinforce your message and will hopefully bring them back to engage with your further.

Below are four reasons that you should be using remarketing in your business.

4 Powerful Reasons Why You Should Remarket

Is Your Business Mobile Friendly?

There's nothing new about shopping around for the best deals, whether we're looking for a holiday, a new sofa or a life insurance policy.

However, there appears to be a shift in our shopping habits when we're out and about.

Research shows that consumers are using mobile devices while they are in-store to ensure they are getting the best possible deal and to research products or services before handing over their hard-earned cash.

Business owners may be tempted to ignore this trend, hoping that once a customer has come through their doors they will simply buy what is in front of them. However, as your competitors will be doing all they can to persuade shoppers to choose their goods over yours, it is worth doing everything you can to ensure that your business is mobile friendly.

Are B2B Conference Organisers Losing Out To Publications?

That might sound like a dumb question. How can you make the comparison between B2B publishers and a B2B conference organisers? One prints magazines that have lots of useful information and advertising opportunities and the other gets people up on a stage or podiums to speak to a room full of people. Completely different, right? Well, no, not any more!

Many conference or event companies will be happy to tell you about the challenges they face when trying to fill a room. People are reluctant to pay ticket prices or can't afford to take time out of the office. Well, B2B publishers are also feeling the strain and facing similar challenges. Fewer people are advertising or even buying publications now, choosing instead to reap the benefits of free information online. As a result, publishers are increasingly throwing their hats into the ring and joining the conference circuit. And B2B publishers are well placed to venture into the territory and break down the barriers to attendance.

A Humble Guide to Email Marketing

What do you think about when you hear the term 'email marketing'? You can be candid, there's nobody listening! The first half of the phrase - email - probably conjures nightmarish images of your inbox because let's be honest: everybody gets too much work-related email. Even once you get the crushing weight of your inbox out of your mind, the marketing part doesn't help either. Email marketing is just another way to say spam, right? Wrong!

Question:

If someone visits my site and then realises that I am tracking them around the Internet, aren't they going to get annoyed and be less likely to buy from me?

Answer:
Good question! And the answer is: If you do your remarketing correctly, then hopefully not.

Remember, you're targeting people who have already shown interest in your products or services.

The main audience of remarketing campaigns is a group of people who have met certain requirements that show they are interested in your brand. The ads you serve are intended to nudge them back in your direction, which gives you one more chance to convince them to buy from you.

For the visitor, the process is not intrusive. A pixel or a small snippet of code is placed on your website, and then it monitors the their behaviour. This information is then used to serve relevant ads to users as they browse their favourite sites across the web.

Remarketing campaigns also allow you to set various parameters. For example, you wouldn't serve ads to a visitor who only stayed on your site for 3 seconds before leaving. And you definitely wouldn't want to show an ad to a customer who has already converted - that would be annoying!
