Teen Read Week 2018 Emphasizes a Starry-Eyed Look at Reading

As another Teen Read Week ends, we reflect on this year's theme "It's Written in the Stars: READ." We want teens to realize the universe of opportunities available at local libraries.  Library staff and educators encourage teens to think and read outside of the box, as well as seek out fantasy, science fiction, and other out-of- this-world reads.  Planning ahead makes it easy for families to incorporate reading into the routine.  Your local library is full audio books to help make long road trips shorter.  Spend a weekend creating a reading nook, talk about your favorite books at the dinner table, and give book and magazine subscriptions as gifts.  For more information, please visit the Teen Read Week website.
