Greetings!
I have a new Video out -- my very first -- and it is a plug, a shameless plug, for my new book. You can view it here on YouTube. Please share this with instructors and others you believe can use the concepts of The CPR Corollary in reaching laymen. Thank you very much.
Now back to business.
David Codrea is with us today and, as always, we're very proud of him. Glad to have you, David.
Bob Parks is with us with a variety of features.
Speaking of videos, our friend and ally Yih-Chau Chang was guest speaker at the second amendment group South Bay Open Carry. His video is with us today.
Gun Dean John Snyder furnishes remarks and observations.
Liberty in sovereignty,

John Longenecker Safer Streets Liberty Activist David Codrea receives Excellence in Journalism, Part II.
Congratulations again to David Codrea on his award from the Second Amendment Foundation, The David and Goliath Award.
I said that this is huge. This is where it is so big.
The Second Amendment Foundation, its membership, it's record of achievements, its national profile, is no small organization. That SAF should take notice in recognition of a blogger is significant. Here is a small part of what this means.
Recognition by a civil rights organization has its importance, but there is another, more subtle, statement. Not only does the David and Goliath Award speak to journalism with regard to the second amendment, but it speaks to the abdication of duty in the first amendment.
I could not be there at the conference, but I hope that there was some notice taken in conversation or speeches about the humiliating dereliction of the mainstream media on the topic so well documented by Mike Vanderboegh and David Codrea.
I believe that the blogosphere -- through David and Mike -- has now packed up gear and moved residence from an ethereal concept to take up permanent residence now in the fourth estate: Journalism, watchdog of government, and freedom of the press.
Sometimes, we take notice of something which is conspicuous by its absence, and there is no denying that the media have lost their edge now to the New Media. David and Mike certainly lifted the New Media to new heights of integrity and ability.
.. and Integrity is the operative word.
A lot of bloggers do serious work, but few have the contacts, the courage, the trust and the wherewithal to follow through with such serious-minded coverage of a scandal of these proportions.
There is a lot of talk about how the MSM is silent on the scandal, but one organization posted a milestone to measure a fork in the road: this award just could be the point in time where historians can show a shift in who reads what and where they read it. This award can be that point in time of an industry shake out where the electorate turned to trust the blogosphere more than the old media.
Integrity and Independence.

"Few people realize it, but our late president was a Life Member of the NRA," said Snyder, named the Gun Dean by Human Events. "As a matter of fact, Kennedy was featured prominently firing a shotgun in the 1966 United States Information Agency film, 'Years of Lightning, Day of Drums.'"

Yih-Chau Chang Integrity and Courage
Yih-Chau Chang's talk before South Bay Open Carry quotes Chuchill across time from an era of both world conflict and personal conflict. The quotes were few, but the insight was deep and inspiring for our conflicts of today. Please visit his video to tap into that.
