SPARKY NEEDS A FUREVER HOME
SPARKY IS AVAILABLE!

Sparky came from an abusive situation and needed to be in foster care so he could trust again. He is thriving in his foster home and enjoys playing with the other dogs in the household.

We believe he needs stability, a calm environment, perhaps a mature household, no small children, and buckets of love. It is evident that he will return that love many times over.

Sparky will be at Yappy Hour or

HELP!

Manny is a sweet, handsome puppy looking for a bed and a family to love him and snuggle him. Please help him find his perfect home! Contact Friends of Animals in Nassau for details.
SPOT'S IS RUNNING OUT OF OPTIONS

Poor little spots. When he came to the county shelter as a stray on July 5th. He was fearful, growling and fear snapping. His hair was thin and he was covered in fleas. He had been neglected and perhaps even abused. His physical health and his behavior are improving, but he still becomes defensive if he feels threatened. He has been adopted twice only to return for defensive biting.

Spots is approximately six years old and weighs twelve pounds. He loves to go on walks and roll in the grass, he even likes baths. He is housebroken and he likes other dogs.

Like Sparky (above) Spots needs to be placed with an experienced foster who will have patience with him while he adjusts to a new home and new people. He would do best in an adult household that offers him a lot of freedom. He would not do well left alone in a crate for long periods .

If you know an experienced foster who could take Spots and rehab him, please share this newsletter with them, you may be saving his life!

STRUT YOUR MUTT

Fantastic news! Local animal advocate Jennifer Cruz is participating in Strut Your Mutt, a huge fundraising event that helps save the lives of homeless pets. She will be fundraising for FAN. Her goal is to raise $1,000.  Please support this lifesaving effort by donating to the Strut Your Mutt fundraiser. To donate, please click the button below
We need Fosters!

We need caring people to take special needs dogs while they recover from illness or injury until we can place them in a furever home. The foster period could be a few days to a few months. If you love dogs, but you can't make a long term commitment to own one, fostering may be the answer.
WE NEED YOU!

We need volunteers to help with event planning, marketing, social media and photography and dog walking. If you love animals, have some skills and can devote a little of your time, contact us.
SOME OF OUR RESCUE DOGS:
BEFORE FAN - - - AFTER FAN
Friends of Animals Nassau (FAN) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization based in Nassau County Florida. FAN focuses on finding homes for dogs and assists in their medical care, including heartworm treatment. FAN is NOT an animal shelter, instead we keep dogs in loving foster homes with caring people while they undergo treatment until we find them a furever home. We are able to help dogs through the work of our tireless volunteers, our fundraising events, our generous sponsors and your contributions. All donations are tax deductible.
