BAINBRIDGE LITTLE THEATRE PRESENTS:
September 21 - 24
Thursday - Saturday: 7:30 PM;  Sunday: 2:30 PM
BLT Director Martha Mobley had this to say on the memory play, "I love a Neil Simon play, Lost in Yonkers being the third one I've directed. The script evokes such sadness, while maintaining humor throughout the struggles of each character. We have a wonderful, experienced cast, including two young men who have come up in the class act theater for young people and are so nice to work with. A great cast acting out a wonderful, timeless story." As the play opens  in 1942 Yonkers, ne'er-do-well son Eddie deposits his two young sons on the old lady's doorstep. He is financially strapped and taking to the road as a salesman. The boys are left to contend with stern Grandma, with mentally challenged Bella and her secret romance, and with Louie, her brother, a small-time hoodlum in a strange new world called Yonkers.

The cast of "Lost in Yonkers" features: Edward Moorhead as Jay; Cooper Genovar as Arty; Richard Whitehead as Eddie; Megan Wimberley as Bella; Shanell Schuyler as Grandma Kurnitz; Eric Gay as Louie; and Krysti Ramer as Gert.

Discover Bainbridge is a community focus group created to bring awareness to Bainbridge and Decatur County.  Initially, the project started as a joint effort between the Bainbridge-Decatur Chamber of Commerce and the Downtown Development Authority to create a unified theme for our community.  Through the process it became clear that other organizations within the community were discussing similar issues, and asking questions like "How do we attract tourists?" and "How to promote quality education, health care, downtown development, recreational facilities, and industrial development etc?"

In lieu of recreating the wheel, we invited community partners to the table and pitched the idea of creating a digital brochure that could be embedded to each organization's website.  Nikki Rich, with Rich Graphics Inc., designed a spectacular brochure that provides broad information for each organization while luring readers to learn more by visiting their individual websites.  We encourage you to Discover Bainbridge!
