A Message from Premier's Chief Executive Officer
Joseph Resnick, CEO

Have you followed through with your New Year's resolutions? If making healthier choices was on the top of your list, you are not alone. According to Statistic Brain, this was the number one New Year's resolution for 2018. Many revisit these resolutions as we head into Spring, thinking again about lifestyle changes, healthy eating and getting active.

We all know it can be challenging to keep your resolutions for the entire year. That's why Premier is providing free health screenings, workshops and events to help our community turn resolutions into realities.

March is colorectal cancer awareness month. Premier will provide FREE colorectal cancer screening kits for patients until the end of April. Our team is dedicated to providing accessible healthcare services to all residents of Pasco and Hernando County. It is through the support of our board members, partners and community leaders that we are able to continue growing and meeting the needs of our community. I look forward to another exciting year of providing healthcare services for all.

Making Smiles Brighter
3rd Annual Children's Dental Day

The American Academy of Pediatricians recommends a preventive dental exam as soon as your child's first tooth shows, which is normally around six months of age.

At Premier we take pride in building a trusted relationship with our young patients. Initiatives such as Children's Dental Day allow us to cultivate an inviting atmosphere for children.

Our dental team worked diligently in 2017 to serve each any every patient that walked through our doors. We had the privilege of providing care for a 6-year-old named Liam, who entered the dental exam room a little anxious and with many questions for Dr. Michelle (Modaff)-"Is this going to hurt?" Liam was given sunglasses to help diffuse the bright lighting, a plush alligator with a mouthful of teeth and a giant toothbrush. Dr. Modaff used the toy to soothe Liam and demonstrate proper oral care.

Thanks to the calming conversation, Liam's exam was completed with ease. All participating children were given free oral hygiene supplies and an age-appropriate toy.

National Doctor's Day 2018

National Doctor's Day is celebrated annually on March 30th, and we are honored to celebrate our team of dedicated providers.  The Premier medical and dental team truly loves to serve our community with quality and compassion. The choice to work in community healthcare is personal for everyone. Our team continuously goes above and beyond.  To celebrate this event, we will host an afternoon luncheon as a token of our appreciation for our providers. We are proud of them and thankful that they make a difference every day.

Welcoming New Board Members
Premier Community HealthCare is governed by a patient-majority volunteer Board of Directors . In this way, members of the community have direct input into the development of their community health center. Over the last few months, Premier has welcomed two new board members  (L to R: Georgina Rivera-Singletary, Marla Banta) :

Georgina Rivera-Singletary - "I joined Premier as a board member because I believe that in order to live a happy life we must be healthy.  Premier provides quality healthcare to our community without regard to background or ability to pay so in essence, they are responsible for the happy lives of many."

Marla Banta - "Providing accessible healthcare services for all is what I have been committed to for over 30 years. Since the expansion of Premier services in Hernando County, I want to continue to help accomplish that goal."
