Dr. Craig Goff
From the Pastor

One of the best known stories in the bible is the Parable of the Good Samaritan.  It is a parable Jesus told in response to a teacher of the law who asked him, "Who is my neighbor?"  Interestingly, Jesus doesn't answer the question directly and doesn't define who a neighbor is.  What he does do is tell a story that illustrates how to be a neighbor.  Being a neighbor involves caring for and having mercy on others (Luke 10:37)...

Adult Christian Education Classes
WELCOME YOU!

During this season when we prepare our hearts for the coming of Christ, many of our adult classes are beginning new studies, providing a wonderful opportunity for newcomers to join in the fellowship!

St. Mark's adult classes are hubs of biblical learning and Christian fellowship as well as centers of mission and ministry, where members reach to out to one another and to the community in a variety of ways.  Being a part of such a group provides an opportunity for adults to build new and deeper friendships with others who hold similar spiritual thoughts, values and practices.

In the coming weeks, several classes will be studying the book, "Sent," which will correspond to the worship focus during Advent and Christmas.  Other classes will also be examining the scriptures that provide the foundation for our understanding of what it means for Christ to come in the past, present and future.    You are invited to be part of the journey!

For more information about St. Mark's adult Christian education classes, please contact. Rev. Martha Touchton, Minister of Education, or Adult Ministries Coordinator Brian Seadorf.
