SAGES News

Our SAGES had a wonderful trip to the Rattle And Snap on Thursday, April 20, in Mt. Pleasant, Tennessee. We had a wonderful tour and tour guide.  We learned a lot of the history of the place. Then we had lunch at Puckett's Grocery in Columbia. The weather was wonderful.. Thanks to Joe Green for driving, to Sue Jones for coordinating the trip, and to Barbara New for her fine leadership of Sages...

Murfreesboro, Get Ready

Help Furnish the Project Transformation Interns' Residence

In just four weeks 16 Project Transformation interns will arrive in Murfreesboro to serve Christ by encouraging 120 local children in summer day programs. We'll be serving too, but first we need to furnish the house where eight of the interns will live. Beds, dressers, nightstands, microwave and a few other basic furnishings are needed to prepare the residence for their arrival.

To help get ready you can make an offering at the communion rail this Sunday, May 6, which will go toward purchasing the needed items. And, if you have a dresser, nightstand, sofa or microwave, you may donate a piece of furniture by contacting coordinator Jennifer Hall at 615-477-2811 or jennifer.hall@cityschools.net by May 21.

All furnishings will be placed in the residence at 1603 Elrod St., near the MTSU Wesley Foundation, and used by the Project Transformation interns this summer and in the future. Once furnished, the residence will be less expensive than MTSU student housing, which has been the only option available until now. During the fall and spring semesters, the residence will house five students involved in the MTSU Wesley Foundation, so your donation has the added impact of supporting campus ministry. Come on, St. Mark's, help get ready for the Project Transformation interns coming to the Boro!
