After a few months of some disarray at Coral Reef Park following Hurricane Irma, the beautiful facility will soon return to normalcy.
Following Hurricane Irma, part of the east side of Coral Reef Park, which is primarily the park's passive area was used as one of two staging grounds to collect the mulch created by infinite landscape and other wood debris from the storm.
Once the debris removal was completed by the Village, staff proceeded to clean out the park facilities. Fallen trees were removed and other landscape debris was cleared out. During this time, mulch giveaways were held over the span of three separate weekends allowing anyone to pick up mulch from the park site. For the past few weeks Village staff has been working with Village contractors to move the remaining mulch out of the park and transport it to the approved county disposal sites.
