Palmetto Bay Park's Skate Park is Getting a Makeover for 2018!
Skateboarders will soon be able to enjoy a freshly painted skate park at Palmetto Bay Park. But this is no ordinary facelift! The skating ramps have been painted by local artist Gonz of Murals Miami! Each ramp features a different colorful design that changes the entire feel of the park, from dreary and gray to happy and colorful.

Final touches are currently underway and the skate park will be ready to open to the general public in January. The Village will make an announcement when the park opens again in the new year.
Coral Reef Park Returns to Normalcy
After a few months of some disarray at Coral Reef Park following Hurricane Irma, the beautiful facility will soon return to normalcy.

Following Hurricane Irma, part of the east side of Coral Reef Park, which is primarily the park's passive area was used as one of two staging grounds to collect the mulch created by infinite landscape and other wood debris from the storm.

Once the debris removal was completed by the Village, staff proceeded to clean out the park facilities. Fallen trees were removed and other landscape debris was cleared out. During this time, mulch giveaways were held over the span of three separate weekends allowing anyone to pick up mulch from the park site. For the past few weeks Village staff has been working with Village contractors to move the remaining mulch out of the park and transport it to the approved county disposal sites.

Coral Reef Park will be ready for the next community-wide events, " Jonathan's Day; Fun in Palmetto Bay" on Saturday, January 20th, followed by the annual " Camping in the Park & Movie Night" on Saturday and Sunday, February 3rd and February 4th. More details on this event will soon be provided.
